When travelling to Terceira Island in Azores, you’ll notice the exquisite façades of some houses — those are called Imperios and are a symbol of the Azorean identity. The Azorean supermarket brand Akiperto challenged us to create a reusable, biodegradable grocery bag that would be useful in everyday life and could also serve as a souvenir. Inspired by the Imperios, we digitally illustrated some of the most distinctive ones from Terceira Island. We followed a colour scheme that represents these façades while respecting Akiperto’s brand identity.
