An insect repellent is a must-have for every outdoor activity, and we’re sure everyone has one lying around in the house or bathroom cabinet. It’s the type of product that we end up unintentionally looking at every day. So, when we received the briefing for this project, we just knew we had to make the packaging aesthetically appealing.
Following the client’s guidelines to make it attractive to a younger audience, we chose to work with bright colours such as these hues of orange and red, a fun font and illustrations that would captivate the youthful eye. To avoid a dull, solid background, we applied a radial gradient and added echoes of a mosquito’s buzz that emphasises the product’s main purpose of chasing away these insects.
We also designed a yellow symbol to convey efficacy and give the label a more serious look.
